Female Live-In Brain Injury Support Worker
Location: London
Shifts: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off shift pattern (2-hour break daily)
Salary: £756 per week, plus a £40 food allowance (Client Dependant) *with the ability to access a % of your earnings in just 4 days or less after completing shifts!*

SweetTree is looking for a Live-In Brain Injury Support Worker with an understanding of individuals who have brain injuries, or specifically Cerebral Palsy. As a Live-In Brain Injury Support Worker, you'll receive specialised training and have the unique opportunity to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, and rehabilitation clinicians.
About the client: Our client is a young persons with Cerebral Palsy who is bubbly, funny and young at heart. She has a small friendly dog she enjoys spending time with, and does weekly activities such as going swimming, hockey, cinema and the museum. She also attend weekly physiotherapy sessions and school.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 months' prior experience in caring for individuals with Cerebral Palsy, or Brain Injuries
- Happy to drive client's car: Having a full UK driving licence and comfortable with driving a large adaptable car for client's needs
- Adaptable: Comfortable working with teenagers and managing varied moods.
- Youthful and engaging: Able to connect on client's level and enjoy her interests.
- Respectful of boundaries: Know when to engage and when to provide space.
- Safety-focused: Prioritize her health and wellbeing in all activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offering companionship, fostering social interactions, using communication devices (eye gaze, iPad) to facilitate interactions
- Assisting with personal care routines (including bathing, dressing, and bathroom needs using a sling and HTC as required)
- Planning and preparing nutritious meals according to dietary needs.
- Providing mobility support for safety and comfort.
- Managing medication administration in accordance with care plans.
- Support with physiotherapy and splint-wearing routines.
- Maintaining a clean and organised living environment.
- Assisting with various daily tasks to support the client's needs.
- Provide afterschool support
- Assist with activities client attends (such as swimming, and hockey)
- Drive the family's car for scheduled activities
